• Momentum Continues At Neocon

ASPECTA BV managing director Marcel Kies reviews a successful trip to Chicago.

NeoCon has an international reputation as being the world’s leading show for the architect and design community, with over 50,000 visitors to the Merchandise Mart venue over the three days.

And it did not disappoint! There was lively debate and discussion around emerging trends with many different views from customers, the media, colleagues and contemporaries alike.

For us, having launched ASPECTA the brand at NeoCon 2014, it was important to keep the momentum going, and this year we previewed ASPECTA TEN, our second LVT flooring range developed exclusively for the contract market.

My colleague Claudia Kunath and myself were both delighted with the response! We received excellent feedback from international attendees. They loved the truly revolutionary ASPECTA TEN with ISOCORE™ technology and its Uniclic and 5G locking system – which means the floor ‘floats’, with no need for any glue. Given the audience in Chicago was primarily from the A&D community, it is not surprising that the aesthetics are what impressed the most, however. With 20 planks and 10 tiles, ASPECTA TEN spans dramatic dark wood tones, rich urban concrete, and unique time-enhanced leather - ideal for the retail, hospitality and corporate markets.

The portfolio was created by our design director, Robert Langstaff, and Claudia, who is responsible for all our new product development. Quite rightly, they are very proud of the results.

Visitors to the stand included Pasquale and Marco Fontanini from ECT Contract, ASPECTA’s exclusive distribution partners in Italy, and Nihat Kotil from Kotil, ASPECTA’s exclusive distribution partner in Turkey. They enjoyed meeting many members of the extended ASPECTA family at the Roof Top party as well as hearing about all the products and marketing plans for the brand. The Fontaninis loved ASPECTA TEN!

One of our main objectives with our new product development is to recruit new specifiers to LVT – while continuing to delight existing enthusiasts. With our latest range, I believe we have another major success in the pipeline and I look forward to showcasing it to many more partners and customers over the coming months.
